Lisa started her performing career singing as a child and hasn’t stopped since. With over 20 years of professional experience in music, comedy, theater, renaissance festivals, and both long and short form improv comedy, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and versatility to the stage. Her captivating performances have also graced television screens, showcasing her dynamic range as a performer. Her diverse background allows her to create engaging and memorable experiences for every audience.

 

Lisa is not just a skilled showwoman; she is also a professional improv storyteller, captivating listeners with her spontaneous and imaginative narratives. One of her unique talents includes playing the kazipes, a whimsical instrument that combines the fun of kazoos with the charm of bagpipes. Additionally, Lisa has performed in bell choirs, showcasing her versatility and musicality. Always eager to learn, she continually adds new skills to her expansive resume, ensuring that her performances are fresh and exciting.

 

 When she isn’t performing as Nissa the Gnome, Lisa, the creative mind behind the character, showcases her talents with the Meat Fish Produce improv comedy troupe in Columbus, Ohio. This troupe was honored as one of Columbus Underground’s Top 10 Theater Organizations in 2024, highlighting Lisa's versatility in the performing arts.

 

In her spare time, Lisa immerses herself in the pages of historical books, nurturing her passion for history and storytelling. She also dedicates hours to sewing historical clothing and costuming, ensuring that her beloved gnome attire is as authentic as possible. She finds joy in spinning flag and rifle as part of an adult international community band organization, where her artistic flair shines. Lisa’s love for travel allows her to explore diverse cultures and gather inspiration, enriching her performances as Nissa the Gnome. Her engaging presence and creative spirit make Lisa a beloved figure in both the improv scene and the world of children's entertainment. Through her various pursuits, she continues to enchant audiences, showcasing her talent and dedication to the arts.
